A second-half header from Jamal Fyfield was enough to inflict our first defeat in six games as Boreham Wood emerged victorious at Meadow Lane.
We could have been 2-0 up inside the opening four minutes as Kyle Wootton and Enzio Boldewijn both missed big chances to give us the dream start.
While the visitors grew into the game thereafter, hitting the post through Sorba Thomas, we still enjoyed the lion's share of the big chances and looked the more likely winners until Fyfield rose highest in the area to head his side in front with 20 minutes to play.
And we were unable to conjure a response on what transpired to be a disappointing December evening.
