Neal Ardley has praised the way Yeovil Town have followed Covid-19 protocols following the postponement of this weekend’s trip to Huish Park.
The match was called off this morning after a Town player tested positive for the virus and, while naturally disappointed to see our season disrupted once again, the boss accepts the right decision has been made.
“Yeovil have followed all the right protocols,” he said.
“They informed us that a player hadn’t been feeling well and sent him straight for a test. We were obviously all hoping that would be negative but the result’s come back quickly and they’ve done the right thing. It’s life at the moment and we’ve got to move on.
“It would have been much more difficult had we found out on Saturday morning as we wouldn’t have trained hard enough today.
“We’ll get through two hard days now – we won’t be wasting them – and hopefully we’ll take the players who are returning from injury to a new level of fitness.
“We’ll see how they train and on Monday assess who could feature against Stockport.”
