Richard Brindley says we have to go to Dover focusing on our own abilities in order to record a third successive win.
Victories against Boreham Wood and AFC Fylde last week were the first we’ve put together consecutively all season and we can leapfrog the Whites with success at the Crabble Athletic Ground.
Although Dover are a side who will look to get at our defence, Brindley says playing to our strengths will give us the best chance in the clash.
“They’ll look to apply pressure and get the ball into our box but we will go there focusing on our gameplan,” revealed the right back.
“Two wins on the bounce has been great and it’s about doing what we can to highlight our strengths to come back from Dover with the points.
“We knew it would be a case of the team gelling and waiting for the results to come so I’m not surprised we’re on the cusp of the top seven now because of the talent here.
“That is the main aim for us come the end of the season and we’ll keep taking it game by game and working hard to achieve that.”
Brindley hasn’t missed a minute of action since coming into the side for his debut against FC Halifax Town last month, and is pleased with the start he’s made.
“I knew I had to be patient because I was behind in terms of match fitness so the first few games have been good,” he explained.
“The main focus was to build that sharpness and I’m pleasantly surprised to have got through 90 minutes each time because I hadn’t had a full pre-season.
“Now that I have some games under my belt, it’s about pushing on and improving each week.
“I’m a player that always wants to get better and I’m a big believer that if I work hard, I’ll get what I deserve.”
