Jon Stead has posted a message of thanks after it was announced that his four-year stay at Meadow Lane has come to an end.
The forward, who was one of the club's longest-serving players, departs upon the expiration of his contract having notched more than 50 goals in the black-and-white.
And he took to social media over the weekend to reflect on his time at the Lane.
"It's been an honour to play for this great club," he tweeted. "I'm gutted to leave on the disappointment of relegation but I would like to thank the club, especially the office, ground and academy staff who work so hard.
"A big thanks to the fans for allowing me to be a part of your club and thanks everyone for all the kind messages.
"I plan to continue playing next season and am excited to get my striker academy up and running in July too."
