Bid for table at Former Players' Dinner

Last chance to attend prestigious event

9 March 2019

Notts County's 2019 Former Players' Dinner is now SOLD OUT - but there is still an opportunity for four more supporters to enjoy a VIP experience at the event.

Magpies fans have snapped up tickets for an evening which will celebrate the club's rise to the top flight at the end of the 1980-81 season – arguably their greatest promotion of all.

And the last chance those without a ticket have to attend is by emailing their highest bid to les.bradd@nottscountyfc.co.uk by Friday 22 March.

The winning bidder will win a table of four and will be invited to meet Howard Wilkinson and the players for pre-dinner drinks, autographs and photos.

Those who have already booked are welcome to submit a bid to win this unique experience.

Lifeline have kicked off the bidding at £200.

The dinner will be held at Meadow Lane on Saturday 6 April following the Sky Bet League Two fixture with Northampton Town.

Brian Kilcline, Raddy Avramovic, Iain McCulloch, David Hunt, Ray O'Brien, Mark Goodwin, Paul Hooks, Gordon Mair, Rachid Harkouk, Don Masson, Eddie Kelly and Mick Leonard have all confirmed their attendance and will be interviewed on what should be a fascinating evening.

The evening’s special guest will be Howard Wilkinson, who worked alongside the late Jimmy Sirrel as part of the club’s managerial set-up at the time, while Mick Walker will also be in attendance.

A series of special awards will be made on the night, including Notts' all-time greatest goal and the annual presentation of the Harold Mace memorial trophy.

Guests will relive special memories with video highlights of the best games from that era, including the 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest, the 4-1 away success at Ipswich and the 2-0 promotion-clinching victory at Chelsea

The campaign was followed by two successful seasons against the game’s elite, with Notts finishing 15th on each occasion, and the celebratory dinner will also recognise these achievements.
