Hemmings joins Dundee

Striker returns to Scotland

8 August 2019

Kane Hemmings has left Notts County to join Scottish Championship side Dundee.

The forward is embarking on his second spell at Dens Park having enjoyed a successful 2015-16 season with the Dark Blues.

And he’s no stranger to life north of the border having also played for Rangers and Cowdenbeath earlier in his career.

The move brings to an end Hemmings’ one-year stay at Meadow Lane, during which he bagged 14 goals despite Notts’ relegation from Sky Bet League Two.

Notts manager Neal Ardley said: “Obviously, we’re disappointed to lose a player of Kane’s quality but in the same vein we’re hopeful this will help us improve the overall quality of the squad by using the money this frees up.

“Kane’s a very good player who, of course, would want to be playing higher than this level. But he came back in and worked hard from day one. He’s never been a minute’s problem.

“I’ve certainly enjoyed working with him and we wish him all the best.”
