Cedric Evina says it was a no-brainer to link up with Harry Kewell again after signing for Notts County.
The left back joined the club on Friday after spending last season on loan at Crawley Town, the Australian’s former club.
And Evina says working with Kewell again influenced his move to Meadow Lane.
“When I found out there was interest from the gaffer it was a no-brainer for me,” he said.
“Working with him again was a big factor for me because I know exactly what he is about and he knows what I’m like too so I think it will be a good match.
“It’s amazing to be here at such a big club and, starting from Saturday, we want to kick on so that we can get points on the board and move up the table.”
Evina will wear squad number 25 for the Magpies.
