Coventry (A): M1 closure and parking info

Please plan your play-off journey

9 May 2018

Supporters travelling to Coventry by road for the first leg of Notts County’s play-off semi-final are advised that a key section of the M1 will be closed in both directions.

Severe disruption is expected all weekend due to the stretch between junction 23a and 24 being closed for engineering works.

Fans are advised to thoroughly plan their journey and leave extra time accordingly. Click here to visit the Highways England website.

Coventry have also shared the following information regarding matchday parking:

- There is a 2km residents' permit zone in operation surrounding the Ricoh Arena, enforced by Coventry City Council who carry out regular patrols and issue parking tickets on the day.

- The large Tesco car park next door strictly enforces a no more than two-hour stay regulation on a matchday. They use an ANPR system and a £100 fine (£60 if paid within 14 days) is sent to those in breach.

- A number of convenient parking options, all of which are between a 5 – 15 minute walk from the arena, are available from only £5 per space. Because some of these car parks are considerably smaller than other options, supporters benefit from not usually having to wait in long queues when exiting

- Advance booking is recommended as car parks often sell out prior to matchday. Click here to secure your space.
