Bassingfield Woodyard to sponsor play-off semi-final shirts

Local timber merchants to continue successful partnership with club

Bassingfield Woodyard will be continuing their partnership with Notts County by sponsoring the club’s shirts for their televised Sky Bet League Two play-off semi-finals.

The deal comes after the local timber merchants took up the Magpies’ unique monthly shirt sponsorship offering, enjoying unique exposure in March.

And Notts’ commercial director Amanda Fletcher is delighted to secure the woodyard’s continued support.

“This deal epitomises everything we’re trying to do – engage local businesses and people, offering them the opportunity to grow alongside us,” she said.

“We received plenty of interest from national organisations but we wanted to stay true to our principles and show gratitude to Bassingfield Woodyard for their loyalty.

“We’re absolutely delighted that they wanted to extend their association with us into our play-off campaign and are tremendously proud to have their backing going into two of the most important matches in our recent history.”

Paul Allison, who owns Bassingfield Woodyard, added: “After seeing such a huge spike in sales – not only in our sponsorship month but from the minute our partnership was announced – we were always going to be interested in sponsoring Notts during the play-offs.

“From both a business and personal point of view, working with the club has been an absolute pleasure and we’re excited to see what the next week brings.”
