Academy awards evening

25 May 2018

Before Notts County's play-off second leg at Meadow Lane, the academy held their awards evening, supported by the NCFC Official Supporters' Association.

The awards evening was for all the younger age groups within the academy, ranging from the pre-academy u8s through to our oldest schoolboy age group, the u16s.

Over 280 players, family members and academy staff attended, with the opening speech delivered by chairman Alan Hardy, who once again confirmed his passion and support for the Academy and his vision for home grown talent performing for the first team in the near future.

Each age group were then invited up to receive their individual medals, supplied by the NCFC Official Supporters' Association, with the coaches delivering an overview of the team's season before announcing the player's player of the year for that age group. These were as follows:

U9- Cameron Maltby
U10- Rio Canoville
U11- Harrison Gomm
U12- Finley Wilkinson
U13: Jack Standeven
U14: Rhynell Gordon
U16: Tyreace Palmer

There was also a special recognition award for u13 player Taylor Marshall, who has demonstrated the key aspects of our core values, particularly hard work, spending the past 14 months working alongside our academy medical team during his rehabilitation from long term injury.

Following the presentations, everybody that attended ventured in to the Meadow Lane stands to show their support for Notts County's first team.
