Notts County were beaten 2-0 by Luton Town but defeated Carlton Town 4-2 this afternoon.
Goals from Jorge Grant and Elliot Lee handed the Hatters victory at Kenilworth Road, while Kristian Dennis, Alex Howes, Sam Osborne and Jon Stead were on the scoresheet against Carlton.
Luton's goals both came in the second half, Grant opening the scoring with an effort which found its way in via Ross Fitzsimons' fingertip and the inside of the post.
The second came in fortuitous fashion when the ball found its way to Lee following a corner, presenting the Luton man with a simple finish from point-blank range.
Notts came closest through Kane Hemmings, who glanced a header just wide of the far post after meeting Dan Jones' cross, and Nathan Thomas later shaped an effort a yard or so over the crossbar.
Will Patching replaced Hemmings late on for his first appearance in a Notts shirt.
At Carlton, assistant manager Richard Thomas watched on as Dennis gave the Magpies an early lead before Howes and Osborne made it 3-0 going into the break.
Two goals in quick succession, including one from the penalty spot, hauled the hosts back into the contest before Stead killed it off at the death.
