SLO update

1 January 2018

On 31 October the SLO team hosted a closed meeting with the five recognised supporter groups, followed by an open fans’ forum at Meadow Lane.

The SLO team have provided an update regarding the feedback received from both the meeting with the supporter groups and the open fans’ forum which can be read in full here.

Non-represented supporters

The SLO team are committed to establishing positive working relationships with supporters. Conversations with different sections of the fanbase have highlighted that a large number of supporters do not feel their views are represented by the supporter groups, and the SLO team are hence working to address this via the following method.

Moving forward the club will request applications from five supporters, who are not affiliated to any supporter groups, to nominate themselves to take part at the supporters’ forum meetings for a one-year term.

Supporters who would like to put themselves forward are invited to provide a short statement to sarah.gooding@nottscountyfc.co.uk of no more than 200 words outlining why they wish to take part at the forums by Tuesday 16 January 2018.

The five successful candidates will sit on the supporters’ forum until January 2019 and must be able to attend the first meeting at 6.30pm on Wednesday 31 January 2018, as well as being committed to attending four meetings during their one-year term. In December 2019 the SLO team will then look to recruit new candidates.

Meeting format

As the supporter groups have requested to meet with the SLO team quarterly, the next meeting date has been set for 31 January at Meadow Lane. This is a closed meeting open only to a maximum of two representatives per supporter group, plus the five additional supporters, with the purpose of discussing issues that arise throughout the year, and so that the SLO team can directly address questions from the fanbase.

The date of each meeting will be confirmed a minimum of six weeks prior to the meeting date and questions from supporters will need to be submitted to Sarah Gooding on behalf of the SLO team a minimum of two weeks prior to the meeting. Questions can be submitted via the supporter groups, via the supporter representatives or directly.

An agenda will be circulated to all attendees in the week preceding the meeting and a full write-up of the meeting will be published on the club’s official website and social media channels within one week of the meeting date.
