Dan Jones says confidence in the Notts camp is high heading into this weekend's game against Lincoln City.
The Magpies travel to Sincil Bank looking for a third win from three games thus far in 2018 but the defender insists County cannot take anything for granted despite beating the Imps 4-1 at Meadow Lane earlier in the season.
"Every game is tough and we go into each one knowing it is going to be a serious battle. We don't take anybody for granted and we respect everybody.
"It's going to be tough against Lincoln. We will have go there to work hard and have the right attitude.
"It will be a completely different game to the last time we played them. They are on a good run of form so it will be a great game to play in.
"We're on a high so there is a lot of confidence in the team, which brings out the best in us.
"Training has been first class again this week so hopefully we can transfer it to the pitch on Saturday."
The gap between Notts and fourth-placed Accrington Stanley currently stands at seven points but the full-back says the squad is not paying any attention to the league table, instead keeping their sights firmly on the next game.
"We don't talk about that type of thing to be honest," he said.
"I like to take every game as it comes week by week and try to focus on getting three points, first and foremost. As a defender, it's about clean sheets too.
"The gaffer is always telling us if we stay in the game we have the quality in the final third to score at any time.
"With the fitness and strength in depth we have, we can punish teams late on in games.
"It's exciting to see where we are. We are in a good position and I know we have the depth in the squad to really push on in the second half of the season and give a good account of ourselves."
