Ben Hall spoke of his delight after joining Notts County on a loan deal until the end of the 2017-18 season from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion.
The defender sealed a deadline day move to the Magpies and he was pleased to have the opportunity to gain a better taste of senior football.
“I am delighted to finally get the move done,” he said. “It’s something I have wanted, to get out and do to get more experience under my belt.
“When my agent rang me and told me Notts County were interested I just wanted to get here.
“I first learned of the interest about a week ago but I still had games going on at Brighton.
“After I played on Monday, I was told the move was done.
“I just want to play as many games as I can while I'm here and help the club with their push for promotion."
Hall believes now is the right time for him to leave the AMEX Stadium on a temporary basis in search of first-team football.
“I signed for Brighton a year and a half ago, so I’ve had plenty of experience playing for the under-23s," he explained.
“But obviously you want to play first-team football. There are a few players who have done the same and they all came back saying they have enjoyed it, so I wanted to do the same.
“You want to play in front of a crowd when there is something at stake every week to give you that buzz.
“Brighton want me to try to play games, do well and then you never know what can come from that.
“I will keep in touch with them and I'm hoping it will go well."
