Notts County supporters have voted Jon Stead as the club's January Player of the Month.
The experienced forward had an incredible start to 2018, scoring a goal in all six of Notts’ games in January.
Three of his strikes proved crucial – his beautiful curling effort against Brentford, his penalty in the 1-0 win against Port Vale and his equaliser against Premier League side Swansea City – while his all-round play up front has been a continued help to those around him.
Stead fought off competition from Elliott Hewitt, Shaun Brisley and Richard Duffy.
Supporter Peter Dennis was selected at random from those who voted for Stead to receive the forward's match-worn shirt from the man himself at Meadow Lane, courtesy of January shirt sponsors Eversheds Sutherland and the Botanist bar in West Bridgford.
