Buildbase managing director Paul Roche says his company’s decision to purchase 400 £2 for Crewe tickets was based on shared values with the club.
Notts are offering £2 tickets to everyone for Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two match against Crewe Alexandra and Buildbase have pounced on the initiative to offer an imaginative incentive to colleagues and customers.
“We saw the promotion and the values are very true to those we have,” said Paul. “The whole idea of bringing the local community in and building from the grassroots up is absolutely the way we work within Buildbase.
“We operate four local branches – we’ve got Grantham, Newark, Giltbrook near Ikea and Sutton-in-Ashfield - and the promotion runs two ways for us, internally for our branch teams and for our customers as well – those who come in and spend more than £50 get a free ticket. It’s a brilliant opportunity.”
And Paul is encouraging like-minded companies to jump on the offer.
“I think the more local businesses get behind local clubs, the better.
“I was at the Lincoln game recently and the whole city was buzzing. If we could get that same feeling this weekend, Nottingham itself would benefit and therefore the businesses benefit as well.”
