Sky Bet League Two got back underway with plenty of goals on show and drama throughout the division.

Crewe couldn’t have asked for a better start as they dismantled Morecambe 6-0. The good news for Jim Bentley’s men is that there are still 45 games to go, and the season is far from over yet.

The Shrimps will be looking to bounce back when they welcome Exeter to the Globe Arena, and they’ll hope home advantage will be key as they aim for a response.

Crewe meanwhile are on the road at Newport – who were defeated by Mansfield in their opening encounter. Despite a remarkable performance on opening day, Sky Bet have Alex as 19/10 outsiders for this one.

Another big winner from game day one was Forest Green, who put on a wonderful showing as they beat Grimsby 4-1 away from home.

Mark Cooper’s side host recently-relegated Oldham this weekend, with little separating the two sides for what promises to be a tight encounter.

Grimsby travel to newcomers Macclesfield – and history suggests that the points will be shared here with seven of their previous 12 meetings all finishing in draws.

Title-favourites Notts were held by Colchester in front of their own supporters, and their first road trip of the season sees them head south to take on Cambridge.

The U’s were on the wrong side of a 3-0 scoreline against Port Vale, which means both sides are aiming for their first victory of the campaign.

Colchester meanwhile will aim to build on last weekend when they meet Port Vale at the JobServe Community Stadium.

Both sides will take the positives from their performances last weekend, meaning this game is capable of going either way.

Both Carlisle and Northampton may have been defeated last weekend, but they look an even match heading into their clash at Brunton Park.

Carlisle boss John Sheridan is hoping to bring the best out of his young squad, whilst Dean Austin still has faith in his Northampton team despite leaving empty-handed last weekend.

Crawley head home for the first time this season after a good away win against Cheltenham. They find themselves as the 6/5 favourites against Stevenage.

Dino Maamria’s Stevenage side did manage a draw on opening day though, and managed to pick something up despite being reduced to ten men with over 15 minutes of the game remaining.

Lincoln and Swindon battled it out for the final play-off spot last season, and the two meet once again just two games into the new campaign.

The Cowleys will want to go one step further this season – whilst Phil Brown will be hopeful that his side can make it back-to-back victories after a 3-2 result over Macclesfield.

MK Dons started life back in League Two with a win, and they’re fancied by Sky Bet to see off Bury at home.

That said, Ryan Lowe guided his side to victory over Yeovil last weekend and will be no pushover for Paul Tisdale’s MK side.

Yeovil face a tough task as they come up against Mansfield. The Glovers had two men sent off last weekend – but will hope the Huish Park crowd can back them to victory.

Tranmere’s time back in the EFL started with a hard-fought draw against Stevenage – and Prenton Park will get its first taste of Football League action since their return when they welcome Cheltenham.

James Norwood has carried over his National League form and is the man to watch for the hosts after scoring twice last time out.

Sporting Life has teamed up with Sky Bet to bring readers an exclusive price boosted accumulator from this weekend’s EFL action.

You can back Ipswich, Portsmouth and Notts all to win enhanced to 20/1 with Sky Bet by heading here.
