Notts County’s matchday staff have been presented with their award for providing the best away fan experience in the division.
The club were named as 2017-18’s League Two winners of the EFL award for best Away Fan Experience back in May after receiving feedback from assessors stating that ‘a great view, combined with welcoming and friendly people, makes you want to go back.’
And before the new season got underway against Colchester on Saturday, team members from the club’s Safety, Stewarding, and Food and Beverage teams were presented with the award by Commercial Director, Amanda Fletcher.
“I am delighted to present the award to a fantastic team of people,” said Fletcher.
“It underpins all the hard work and dedication we invest in terms of our commitment to customer experience for both home and away fans.”
The Away Fan Experience campaign was launched in 2016-17 and aims to highlight examples of the positive experiences of away-days for supporters.
Some of the features of a trip to Meadow Lane for visitors that were praised include:
- The provision of a welcome pack from the Supporter Liaison Officer
- Specific welcome posters providing stats on previous encounters between the two clubs
- A request for away fan feedback from the Supporter Liaison Officer
And Fletcher believes the club will continue to impress in the new season.
She added: “With the 2018/19 campaign now underway, we hope to continue our commitment to the customer journey right from kick off.”
