Premier Electrical's sponsorship begins!

Ilkeston-based business set for front-of-shirt exposure

4 September 2017

Premier Electrical Services director Martyn Kelk says his company’s sponsorship of Notts County’s shirts is an exciting deal for his whole family.

The logo of the electrical and mechanical contracting business, who also carry out whole refurbishment and building works, will be displayed on the front of the Magpies' shirts for this month's matches against Morecambe, Swindon Town, Crawley Town, Lincoln City, Exeter City and Mansfield Town.

And Martyn says it's a proud achievement not only for him, but also his nearest and dearest.

"All my family have known is Notts County and they think it's fantastic their dad can sponsor the club's shirts," he said.

"They have all been to Meadow Lane and my daughter has worked in the club shop and was a mascot when she was a younger.

"I think this season's shirt sponsorship offering is fantastic because it gives local people the opportunity to sponsor the team they have supported since they were a child."

Martyn has also been buoyed by the new era at the club and is excited to be part of what's happening at Meadow Lane.

"It's upbeat here," he said. "You can feel it, even as a fan in the stands.

"You can tell how much things have changed since Alan Hardy has come in - you can feel a positivity around the club.

"Commercially it's taken a step forward."

The beginning of Premier Electrical's sponsorship marks the end of Macesport's.

And commercial director Amanda Fletcher is excited to welcome Martyn and his guests.

She said: "First and foremost, I would like to say a huge thank you to my fellow board member Paul Mace for his sponsorship throughout August.

"He kicked off our initiative in brilliant style and everyone is now looking forward to working closely alongside Premier Electrical to deliver a package bespoke to them.

"Premier have already given us terrific support by sponsoring the back of our home shirts for the season and it's great to have another local, Notts County-supporting business on board."

Commercial manager Simon Fotheringham added: "I'm really looking forward to working closely with Martyn, who I've known for a while now.

"I can certainly vouch for his passion for the Magpies and I know how excited he is to have his business emblazoned across the front of our shirts."

To celebrate their sponsorship, Premier Electrical will be donating £5 to the club's academy every time a supporter opts to print their logo on their replica shirt.
