Kevin Nolan wants his team to stick to their guns as they look to extend their superb run with a win in Saturday's local derby against Mansfield Town.
The Notts manager takes his side to the One Call Stadium for the first time since taking charge of the club and will look to draw on his derby experiences as a player ahead of the contest.
"We're going to a really good Mansfield side who have had a tough result in midweek," he said. "They will want to respond and there's no better way to do that than in a derby.
"I'm concentrating on us, hoping we can go there with the confidence, attitude and application we've been playing with recently, but temperament is key more than anything.
"For me it was always about concentrating on what was happening on the field. If you get carried away with the occasion, you start to make mistakes.
"You need a cool head in a hostile environment, which I expect it to be on Saturday. Mansfield will try to make it as difficult as possible for us."
With six straight wins in September, it's been a perfect month for the Magpies.
And Nolan is determined to make it a magnificent seven on Saturday to keep his side at the top of the Sky Bet League Two table.
"After the two wins this week we want to finish it off with another positive result," he said.
"The manner in which we won the games against Lincoln and Exeter was fantastic so we will stick to what we do, try to counter Mansfield's strengths and hit them where we think their weaknesses are.
"We have a fantastic opportunity to get another three points."
The boss confirmed his only absentee for the shortest away trip of the season would be defender Dan Jones, who has a hamstring problem.
Shola Ameobi returned to training earlier this week and is available for selection against the Stags.
