Give an hour for Autism East Midlands

Charity appealing for volunteers

31 October 2017

Autism East Midlands are appealing for volunteers to play a vital role in their fundraising.

The charity, who have a close relationship with Notts County following the installation of a sensory suite at Meadow Lane, will be conducting bucket collections at Nottingham Theatre Royal in November.

And AEM's fundraising lead Mike Sawkins is encouraging Notts fans to help make the campaign a success.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for the charity," he said. "But we really need generous support from our local community to help us make the most of it.

"By giving just an hour or so of your time you could make a real difference to the lives of local families affected by autism.

"Our vision is of a world which recognises, understands and values people with autism, and where they and their families receive the services and support they need throughout their lives.

"We provide a wide range of care, education and training for children, young people and adults with autism, enabling them to live independent and fulfilling lives."
