Tootle voted October's Player of the Month

3 November 2017

Matt Tootle has been voted Notts County's October Player of the Month by the club's supporters.

Notts lost just one of their five league games in the month, ending October at the top of the Sky Bet League Two table.

And fans voted the defender as their stand-out player, sending 59% of the votes Tootle's way with Ryan Yates, Carl Dickinson and Jon Stead in his wake.

The 27-year-old was in fine form, playing a key role in four of Notts’ October goals as he continued to enjoy his forays forward from the back.

He has been having an impact off the field too, speaking of his own experiences of mental health issues during Mental Health Awareness Week.

Supporter Andrew Wright, who was randomly selected from those who voted, will have the opportunity to attend the presentation and receive one of Tootle's match-worn shirt thanks to October front-of-shirt sponsors Sports Gateway.
