Notts County goalscorer Richard Duffy reserved praise for two of his defensive team-mates following this afternoon's victory over Blackpool.
Duffy's first-half header was enough to earn the Magpies all three points in their final home match of the 2016-17 campaign.
And, after captaining the team to an impressive clean sheet, Duffy was thrilled to see his centre-back partner Haydn Hollis named Man of the Match.
Duffy said: "Haydn was superb today. He did everything and more.
"If you hang a ball up for him, hes going to eat everything up. He's just getting better and better.
"Everyone put a shift in. You wouldn't say we had a bad player. Carl Dickinson was someone who maybe got a bit of stick earlier in the season, but since he's come back into the team he's been superb."
Duffy also praised the impact made by Kevin Nolan since the manager's arrival at Meadow Lane.
"To finish the way we have, especially at home, is pleasing," he said. "The fans turn up and expect you to perform to your best and we weren't doing that.
"But since the new manager has come in we have done that, picking up some good wins against teams who are pushing for promotion, as you've seen today.
"We've finished on a good note at home and it's a happy dressing room."
