Notts County supporter and board member Paul Mace says he has fulfilled a lifelong ambition by sponsoring the club's shirts.
Paul owns Lace Market-based Macesport, one of the world's leading sports communications consultancies.
And, when the club offered local businesses the opportunity to become front-of-shirt sponsors for a month during the 2017-18 campaign, he jumped at the chance.
"When Alan Hardy first mentioned it to me I thought 'What a great idea'," said Paul. "I really wanted to show my support for what Alan's done since coming into the club.
"When I was growing up my family had to scrimp and save for our season tickets but, having run my own business for 12 years, I'm in a more fortunate position now so some discretionary spend comes out of the company budget and goes into putting the logo on the shirt.
"If you look on our website you'll see a completely different Macesport logo. I wanted to do something bespoke and to make the shirt as appealing as possible for all fans.
"It's another one off the bucket list – something I never thought I'd be able to do.
"Talking with other sponsors, I think a lot of them fall into my category – local supporters who would never normally have been able to dream of putting their company name on the shirt.
"It's a great initiative."
Macesport will enjoy a package bespoke to them throughout their chosen month, with their logo appearing on the front of Notts' shirts for the first time in Saturday's season-opener at Coventry City.
As a child, Paul used to watch Les Bradd and his team-mates carry out pre-season training at Colwick woods. iFollow took the pair back to that spot. Click here to watch.
