Artificial pitch installed

Lifeline-funded surface ready for action

2 August 2017

Lifeline members have funded the installation of a state-of-the-art training surface at Meadow Lane.

The artificial pitch, which will be used by the club's first-team and academy players, was purchased with funds generated by the popular Lifeline membership, which offers supporters the chance to win exciting prizes while helping their club.

As part of the renovations, the sports hall in the Haydn Green Family Stand has been fully redecorated, while a balcony and windows have been installed to allow visitors a spectacular view of the new facility from above.

Lifeline coordinator Lynn Lawson was delighted that money raised through the membership has once again made such a positive impact.

She said: "Lifeline has and always will be there to help the club and each and every member should be very proud of this amazing new facility.

"It's exciting to see such positive investment in the club’s infrastructure and we now look forward to our next project!"

Notts chairman and owner Alan Hardy added: "The new pitch is absolutely superb and, on behalf of the hundreds of players who will benefit from this facility, I would like to thank Lifeline members for their brilliant support.

"Throughout the summer we have been breathing new life into Meadow Lane through various renovation projects which, while also improving the aesthetics of the stadium, will provide our players and staff with superb facilities which can only aid their performance.

"These developments are all scheduled to be completed in time for our first home game of the season and I'm excited to show our supporters the fruits of our labour. Stay tuned!"
