#WeAreNotts: Harrison Clifford

30 April 2017

Seven-year-old Harrison Clifford and his grandfather Rob Symonds have renewed their Notts County season tickets.

The pair will be back in the Derek Pavis Stand next year, cheering the Magpies on to what Harrison hopes will be a successful 2017-18 campaign.

"Next season I want to see us get more points in the league, definitely," said the youngster, who was invited to Meadow Lane along with Rob to tell his story.

"I want us to win promotion at home because I don't want the stress of the play-offs!"

Harrison, who lives in Melton, has his grandfather to thank for introducing him to Notts. Rob, from Birmingham, saw his first Magpies match in 1968 while living as a student in Nottingham and passed the bug on to his grandson.

Their matchday routine usually consists of a morning French lesson, lunch and a stroll to the ground after parking at Harrison's dad's shop in West Bridgford.

"We always have a bag of M&Ms with us," said Rob. "Over the past season we've got to know the people who sit around us, including a lovely family of four who always share our sweets!"

Harrison nominated Aaron Collins' effort against Leyton Orient as his 2016-17 Goal of the Season and is looking forward to seeing more sensational strikes next season.

2016-17 season ticket holders have until Sunday 30 April to renew at the cheapest price. Click here for more information.
