Mixed feelings

Notts County forward Jonathan Forte had mixed feelings after yesterday's 2-2 draw with Grimsby.

Forte scored from close range to bring the score back to 2-1, with Notts eventually earning a point thanks to debutant Aaron Collins.

And, while he was pleased with the comeback, Forte was disappointed Notts' second-half dominance didn't reap a greater reward.

He said: "We’re kind of happy with the point as we were 2-0 down but we’re disappointed because we could have made it 3-2.

"The keeper made a good save and we had more chances to put it away.

"The second half was a good performance but we should have got more from it."

Forte admits his first goal back at Meadow Lane felt like 'a long time coming' - but he is now fully focused on helping the team ditch their unwanted habit of conceding first in games.

He said: "We obviously want to put a stop to that and to go ahead.

"It’s good that we’ve got that comeback in us, but we want to win 2-0/3-0."
