Jon Stead has been nominated for September's EFL Player of the Month award.
The forward was in scintillating form throughout the month, scoring five goals to help his team achieve an excellent run of results.
Stead will face competition from the following nominees, with the winner set to be announced on Friday:
Sonny Bradley (Plymouth Argyle)
The heartbeat of a defence which conceded only two goals in five September games. Powerful in the air, strong in the tackle, he has a no-nonsense style at the back and even found time to head home a late winner against Cheltenham Town.
Gary Roberts (Portsmouth)
Three goals and two assists for the creative hub of a Portsmouth side which moved into the automatic play-off places. Dictates play and has the vision and technique to find team-mates, while his goal against Barnet shows he can finish with style.
Nathan Thomas (Hartlepool United)
Five goals in five games from the left wing, including two lovely finishes at Yeovil Town, is impressive enough to add to his positive style. It becomes remarkable when you learn that he scored every one of Hartlepool’s goals in September.
