Contemplating changes

10 October 2016

Notts County manager John Sheridan is contemplating changes to his team for tomorrow's visit of Morecambe.

The Magpies host the Shrimps at Meadow Lane in a rearranged fixture following the abandoned match earlier this month.

And, having been disappointed with his side's showing at Mansfield on Saturday, Sheridan is considering 'freshening it up' tomorrow night.

The manager said: "I haven't named my team yet - it's something I'll think about.

"It's in my thoughts to freshen it up - or do I stick and have belief in the team I put out on Saturday?

"It'll definitely be one or two changes, but whether I make three or four, I'll make that decision tomorrow.

"I don't want to be too hard on the players but I'm greedy - I want us to be successful as a club."

Sheridan, who has ruled Michael O'Connor out of the match, is pleased that he doesn't have long to wait before his team's next Sky Bet League Two action.

He said: "Mansfield is gone now. Luckily we've got a game tomorrow, which is pleasing because we can try and get Saturday out of the way, then we've got another home game on Saturday.

"If we can get six points, which I want, from both games - no disrespect to Crewe or Morecambe - Saturday's result won't look too bad.

"Morecambe were beaten 3-0 at the weekend but they could have scored three or four themselves. They're a threat going forward so I've got to respect that.

"But we're at home, where I expect us to win games."

Supporters wishing to claim a refund on their original Morecambe tickets are reminded they must visit/contact the ticket office before 7pm this evening (Monday 10 October). Click here for more information.
