A good points return

29 October 2016

Haydn Hollis says Notts' points return from their last two matches shows they're capable of competing at the top.

The centre back won Man of the Match for his commanding display in today's 0-0 draw against Luton.

And, having also played his part in last weekend's win at Portsmouth, Hollis is happy with four points from the two matches.

He said: "If you'd have said we'd take four points from Portsmouth away and Luton at home you'd have taken it. They are two of the best teams in the league and I feel we're up there too.

"Looking at it today we were very unlucky not to get six points out of the last two games.

"I don't think you can fault the lads' efforts today and I think the crowd appreciated it too.

"It felt like home today, everyone was right behind us and that's what we want."

Today's clean sheet was Notts' first at Meadow Lane this season.

Hollis said: "We get judged on clean sheets and we pride ourselves on them.

"It's the first one of the season and if we keep playing like that I feel there will be plenty more to come."
