Notts County manager John Sheridan emphasised the importance of sticking together after tonight's defeat against Cambridge.
The manager was visibly disappointed with the result but has not given up hope of achieving a successful season.
"I'm hurting and the players are hurting. I'm gutted for everyone at the club because I expected good things from this season.
"There is still a long way to go so it's important we get back to basics and sort things out as quickly as we can.
"It's important I support the players during this difficult time and give them the belief we can get out of this bad run.
"I'll be fighting all the way. I've got to stay strong, stick to my beliefs and try to get us going again."
