Update: Kasper gloves auction for Lifeline approaches £200

13 May 2016

Our auction of goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel's signed and personalised gloves have hit almost £200 after a bidding war!

So far 25 bids have been placed on the gloves, and there are still 7 days to go in the auction which is being hosted on eBay.

Kasper kindly signed his match-worn gloves and gave them to Lifeline near the end of the famous 2009/10 League Two winning season, and they have been stored carefully at Notts ever since as part of our history.

Notts County are proud to have played a major part in the story of Kasper Schmeichel's rise to the top, culminating in winning the Premier League in what is widely regarded as the greatest shock in the history of English football.

Kasper played for Notts County FC in the 2009/2010 season, making 43 appearances for the club and was part of our League Two winning side. Notts County conceded just 31 goals throughout the entire season and lost just 7 times, winning the league by 10 points.

He wore the number 23 shirt in his time at Notts County, and he has written his squad number alongside his signature on the gloves themselves. These gloves are also unique and personalised, with Kasper Schmeichel's name on the straps.

So to all Notts fans: This is your chance to own a unique piece of the history, support Lifeline, and own a part of the story that led to Kasper lifting the 2015/2016 season Barclays Premier League trophy with Leicester City!
