The long awaited Jimmy and Jack Statue was unveiled today to a rapturous reception.
Around 200 people packed around the monument, situated between the Club Shop and The Navigation, to catch their first glimpses of the iconic statue of legends Jack Wheeler and Jimmy Sirrel.
Colin Slater led proceedings, with the families of Jack and Jimmy, the Lord Mayor and Sheriff of Nottingham and many other former players in attendance.
In the glorious sunshine befitting of the occasion, the Statue was unveiled at exactly 12 o'clock, much to the awe of the people who had gathered to witness this remarkable event in our history.
It is to be followed by a ticket-only luncheon in the 1862 Suite.
We would like to thank everyone who put in a monumental effort to raise funds and ensure that this project went ahead, and to the supporters who came to the unveiling.
