Sport Relief: Notts Players man the phones

31 March 2016

The Contact Centre at Specsavers in Nottingham was a hive of activity late into the evening of Friday 18 March as Sport Relief reached fever pitch across the UK.

Around 80 volunteers from Specsavers support offices, stores and local clubs gave up their time to man the phones, taking donations during the course of the evening. This included three players from Notts County Football Club Kyle De Silva, Taylor McKenzie and Will Hayhurst.

The footballers were part of one of the phone teams managed by Yvonne and helped to support a fantastic evening in the Contact Centre, Yvonne went on to say:

"Kyle, Taylor and Will appeared to really enjoy the evening, staying until the end. They took part in answering calls and were very competitive with each other on the amounts of money they were taking. All 3 took part in the Wii fit game of football, on behalf of their Martial arts team, and once again were not only competitive with the teams, but with each other. It was great to have them along to take part and the contribution they made helped to make the evening a massive success".
