New recruit Matt Tootle talks to Magpie Player HD
25-year-old defender and former Crewe Alexandra captain, Matt Tootle, is Notts County's latest signing of the summer. He talked to Magpie Player about what it was that led to him joining the club:"I'm delighted to get (the deal) over the line. It is a massive club - as soon as I heard Notts County were interested.
"I wanted to come to a club I felt would be successful next year. It is a big club and from what I can see, everything that's happening at the club says its going to be successful next season."
Tootle has experience of winning promotion from League Two in his time at Crewe, we asked him what it takes to get out of the division:
"You need good players, you need a good manager - we've definitely got a good manager."
The full-back then went on to give fans an insight into what they can expect from him on the pitch:
"I bomb on, I play full-back either side or I can play in midfield. I like to be an exciting full-back."
