Notts County get their 2016/17 pre-season campaign underway this Saturday 9th July, with trip to Rolls Royce Leisure Hucknall, where they will face Linby CWFC.
The team have been hard at work in training since their return last week, with manager John Sheridan pleased with their progress.
“We’ve been pushing the lads really hard with fitness training since they reported back last Thursday.
“I’ve been really pleased with the effort they’ve put in and in our football sessions this week, we’ve started to lay the foundations and expectations of what’s required on the field in the coming season.”
He also let fans know what to expect with Saturday’s squad.
“Some of the first team squad aren’t quite ready for match action yet as we’ve only just started to train with the ball, but fans can expect to see number of familiar first team faces at Watnall Road, along with a few trialists we’re taking a look at.”
Gates open at Watnall Road at midday and the match kicks-off at 3pm.
The day will include a Q&A session with manager John Sheridan, at 1:30pm to answer questions about the new season. The Nottingham Post’s, Leigh Curtis, will be posing the questions.
There will also be plenty for the family to enjoy with inflatables, a BBQ, ice cream van and raffle on the day.
