Lifeline: 30th anniversary celebration

23 August 2016

Thirty Lifeline members who attend next month's anniversary celebrations will win £100 each on the night.

Notts County are marking 30 years of Lifeline with a night of celebration on Friday 16 September.

The evening will include the annual draw for £10,000 and a car, while 30 Lifeline members will go home with £100 each.

There will be cabaret entertainment from local singer Steve McGill, who has twice been invited to play at Glastonbury, and magician Roy Bond, who has been voted Magic Champion and Card Magician of the Year by the Guild of Magicians. The evening will be rounded off with music from the club's resident DJ.

Guests will enjoy a sparkling drinks reception on arrival, followed by a three-course dinner and coffee.

Tickets are priced as follows:

Single tickets: £35
Table of ten: £300

The club expect this event to sell out very quickly, so prompt booking is advised. Places can be reserved by visiting the club shop, calling Lynn Lawson on 0115 955 7200 or emailing lifeline@nottscountyfc.co.uk.

About Lifeline

Lifeline was founded in 1986 after many years of financial struggle left chairman Jack Dunnett and his board of directors seeking new ownership and fresh investment to allow the club to continue.

A crisis meeting was called on 15 September 1986 and 1500 supporters packed into the Sherwood Rooms with hundreds more locked outside. The directors pledged to continue with financial help from the fans and Lifeline was born.

Since that evening Lifeline has been, and still is, a lifeline for the club, offering fans benefits for being a member and the chance to win cash prizes, including an annual draw for £10,000, a new car as well as weekly prizes totalling £1,450 - all for just £2 a week.

30 years since its inception, Lifeline has raised more than £2.5million to help Notts retain their status as the oldest Football League club.
