Vadaine Oliver says he can see ‘fight and willingness’ in his new team-mates ahead of the 2016-17 Sky Bet League Two campaign.
The 24-year-old, who this week completed a six-month loan from York City, is settling into life well at Meadow Lane. And, although a long journey to Somerset presents a tough opening-day test against Yeovil Town, the striker believes the squad are in the right frame of mind to secure victory.
He told Magpie Player HD: “It’s the first game of the season so you just want to get going.
“It’s a long trip but the boys are raring to go – you can see in training that the fight and willingness is there, ready to start the season.”
Oliver will be a familiar name to many Notts fans having previously played for local rivals Mansfield Town.
And the forward is looking forward to demonstrating his talents in a black-and-white shirt.
He said: “I think I bring really good aerial ability. I’m quick, so I like to run in behind as well, and I love to score goals – give me the opportunities, I will score.
“I really want to enjoy football again and score as many goals as I can for the club.”
