Notts County's 2016-17 Central League Cup schedule has been confirmed, while a development friendly has also been arranged.This summer the club took the difficult decision to withdraw from the Central (Development) League, but have entered the Central League Cup which will guarantee a minimum number of competitive fixtures alongside friendly matches to be arranged during the season.
The early stages of the cup competition will comprise of a group stage, with the Magpies having been placed in group two of the northern section alongside Nottingham Forest, Mansfield Town, Chesterfield and Shrewsbury Town.
While there is no age restriction, the competition is development focused.
Notts host Forest and Shrewsbury Town at Meadow Lane, with prices set at £3 for adults and £1 for all concessions. Season ticket holders can watch all home reserve/development matches for free.
Group stage fixtures (all kick-off times 2pm):
Tuesday 25 October: v Nottingham Forest at Meadow Lane
Tuesday 29 November: v Chesterfield at the Proact Stadium
Tuesday 13 December: v Shrewsbury Town at Meadow Lane
Wednesday 18 January: v Mansfield Town at Rainworth Miners Welfare
Meanwhile, Notts' first development friendly of the season will take place against Chesterfield at Meadow Lane on Tuesday 23 August (kick-off 1.30pm).
Season ticket holders again can watch for free, with general admission priced £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.
