Magpie PlayerHD is constantly evolving.
Having spoken with the platform’s providers, Notts County FC are delighted to announce a series of changes to the club’s official video channel in a number of areas that supporters have contacted us about in the past.
PICTURE QUALITY
Already a big success this season, our first team match highlights and pre and post-match interviews are now delivered to you in high definition. This means a crystal clear picture over whichever device you're watching on - be it your home computer, smartphone or tablet!
The highlights on a Saturday have also been extended to a full ten minutes – so if you’ve missed the big match you’ll still catch all the big talking points from the comfort of your home.
AUDIO GOING OFFLINE
This was a big one for our supporters. Those out of the city that couldn’t make it to games in the past have been left frustrated as the audio feed after a game would shut down before they heard from our manager or players. But not anymore.
Feeds are now set to turn off an hour after the final whistle - no longer will you need to miss the post-match questioning of Colin Slater! Frustrated by having to listen to the post-match reaction at other clubs? Rest assured it won’t come at the expense of Magpie PlayerHD getting round to Notts County.
COMMENTARY DELAYS AND DROPS
The content delivery network used for Magpie PlayerHD is changing for the better. Work has been carried out this week already to put us on the road to ensuring a far smoother experience with your matchday commentary, meaning soon that things like excruciating delays, or worse yet drops in play-by-play coverage will be a thing of the past.
Delays over the service since the start of the season have not gone unnoticed, and this is just one of a number of upgrades under the hood of Magpie PlayerHD aimed at making sure everyone gets the very best value for their £4.49 a month.
AND THE REST?
There’s no point us talking up the changes to Magpie PlayerHD without us providing our own content to fill in the days when the first team aren’t playing.
That’s why we’re on a mission to provide new video content to the platform every single day of the week. Magpie PlayerHD is the only place to watch extended highlights of our youth and reserve teams in their respective leagues, not to mention post-match reaction from coaches Mick Halsall, Dan Leivers and Richard Dryden among others.
