A huge thank you to both Notts County and Doncaster Rovers fans have they gave generously to the statue fund last weekend…
Notts County and Doncaster Rovers football supporters have given the Jimmy and Jack Statue fund a healthy boost during a bucket collection at the game last month.
After hours or counting, the committee confirmed the impressive £1488.99p raised through a bucket collection.
Lisa Black from the committee told the Official Site: “I would like to thank every one who put their hand in their pocket on the day, and also those that donated directly into the Jimmy and Jack bank account and left donations in envelopes at the club shop.
“It was a really great day and I was delighted to be able to share information with all that asked about where we are with the fund and the statue development.
“We are on the final push now and need to realise in the region of £19,800 to have the funds to finish the statue and get it in situ.
“The Jimmy and Jack weekend starting on the 15th of May is what we hope will see us over the line with the Revival Band playing at MLSB on 15th May, the Jimmy and Jack quiz night on 16th May and of course the big one, the All stars match between Notts County and Nottingham Forest on the 17th May.
“We hope that everyone gets behind these events and spreads the word so that they are all sell outs.
“We wouldn't have come this far without the support of many and I am incredibly proud to be associated with this project, we have met some amazing people and the two things we all share is our love and passion for Notts County and of course, a determination to see our two great management legends remembered and back at the Lane.”
