Derry: We've Got To Get Results

1 March 2015

Manager Shaun Derry was frustrated again after the home defeat…

Notts suffered another defeat by just the odd-goal as they lost to Port Vale 1-0 at Meadow Lane.

The Magpies dominated large spells of the game, but couldn't get that crucial goal to get themselves a result.

The defeat meant Notts are now only three points above the drop zone.

He told Magpie Player: "It's frustrating and you heard that frustration at the final whistle. That told a story.

"We should have been out of sight in the first half and again the goal we conceded was a calamity and how we didn't score I will never know.

"I thought we absolutely dominated from minute one in the first half, conceded a sloppy goal and then couldn't break them down in the second period.

"We had plenty of chances and I thought the play into those chances was fantastic and it was nice to watch it, but I want us to win ugly and going back to that.

"We've got to get results. There's plenty of positives, but we didn't really make their keeper work and that's disappointing.

"It's not nice losing a game and looking at the table at the moment, we are fully aware of it. If we play consistently like we have done the last four games we will win games."
