Foxwood Academy were excited to welcome two First Team player Blair Adams and Curtis Thompson as part of the School of the Week initiative...
The scheme gives an opportunity for children and their families to experience a football match within the community.
Football and sport is inclusive for students of all abilities.
Both Adams and Thompson delivered an action packed session, which involved two-touch and ball skills competitions from the players.
The children engaged very well in the afternoon and promoted what Notts County is all about, working with people of all ages. The school itself is home to children with special needs from the age of 3 to 19.
Learning Support Assistant Bev Verney told the Official Site: “I was delighted to nominate our school for School of the week.
“A good afternoon was had by all, being a huge fan and supporter myself of Notts County, it was a pleasure to see our students engaging and above all having fun.
“Thank you to all at Meadow Lane.”
Community Officer Matthew Lawson added: “The players were brilliant and provided great entertainment for the children, which in turn created a very good atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. It was one of those days that makes us all proud to be a part of Notts.”
