The Magpies were defeated by League One Port Vale on Tuesday night 2-1.Striker Jon Stead was again amongst the goals as he netted from close range after winger Julian Jenner's effort on target was spilled.
Vale fought back and scored twice in the closing stages, but Notts will be pleased with another good workout with just two more friendlies before the start of the season.
