Former Crystal Palace midfielder Kyle De Silva is hoping to repay the faith given to him by the club this season…
The attacking midfielder impressed Head of Recruitment Guy Branston and arrived on trial earlier this month.
He did enough to impress Manager Ricardo Moniz and earned himself a deal.
He told Magpie Player: “I’m just thrilled it’s done now. I was with the club since day one of pre-season and Guy Branston has been scouting me for a while.
“I’m just grateful that the board have given me this chance and kick start my career.
“Pre-season has been good, tough of course, especially with the weather. I’m enjoying it and being around a great bunch of lads.
“It’s tough being on trial because you are all looking to impress. I’m just thankful I was given the chance. I’m grateful.
“I’m a technical player and I like to play quick, I’m skilful and I have an eye for goal. I just need a chance to show what I can do.”
