Joint Caretaker Manager's Michael Johnson and David Kevan earnt their first win after the sacking of Charlie McParland back in October 2009 with a 2-0 victory over Crewe Alexandra.
Notts moved up to fourth in League Two with the three points.
The Magpies had already hit the crossbar twice before Luke Rodgers, a former Crewe striker, slotted home.
Fellow forward Craig Westcarr wrapped up the win, before goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel's penalty save from Steven Schumacher.
