Derry: We'll Be Looking To Back Up Saturday's Result

20 January 2015

Shaun Derry looks ahead to the away game at Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday...

Notts County Manager Shaun Derry is hoping that his side can build on their 2-1 win over Crewe Alexandra at Meadow Lane on Saturday, as they head to the Keepmoat Stadium to take on Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night.

A wonder-goal from substitute Billy Daniels secured all three points for Notts on Saturday and Derry is hoping that the victory will give his whole squad a list as they prepare to get back into action straightaway on Tuesday.

“Obviously, the win today helps us, it gives us a confidence to take into the away games,” Derry explained after the game on Saturday. “We’ve always, bar the defeat at Bristol City, we’ve always given the opponents a game and that’s all I ever look for.

“I look for us to go and impose ourselves on the opposition and be competitive. I’m hoping that will be the case again.

“When you go into battle with Paul Dickov, whether it be a player or as a manager, you’ve got a game on your hands and they’ll be hurting from the loss in the JPT, so they’ll be looking to avenge that and we’ll be looking to back Saturday’s result up.”
