New signing arrives in time for Fleetwood Town game...
Notts County have signed Northern Ireland international Paddy McCourt on an emergency loan deal until the end of the season from Sky Bet Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion.
McCourt, who spent five years with Scottish top-flight side Celtic earlier in his career, was with Barnsley last season but left Oakwell in the summer and joined Brighton on a one-year deal.
The 31-year-old winger has made 13 appearances for the Seagulls during the current campaign and has one international cap to his name this season, when he played alongside Notts County goalkeeper Roy Carroll in his country’s 2-0 win over the Faroe Islands in October.
McCourt will now be looking to secure more regular first team action after agreeing a loan move to Shaun Derry’s side and is in line to make his debut for Notts on Saturday at Fleetwood Town.
