Richards Extends Boston Loan

11 December 2015

Jordan Richards has extended his loan deal with Boston United until the end of the season.

The 18 year-old joined the Pilgrims in September and has gone on to make 16 appearances.

After starting off at right back, the youngster was moved into a midfield role and has excelled, winning the Player of the Match award on three occasions and scoring his first goal against FC United of Manchester with a 25-yard strike.

The deal contains a 24-hour recall clause.

Head of Recruitment Guy Branston said: "Following discussions between Jordan, myself, Ricardo Moniz, Julian Winter and Mick Halsall, it was decided that it would be beneficial for Jordan to stay with Boston to continue his development by playing competitive men's football.

"Jordan has been performing well for Boston and has helped them to pick up a number of positive results.

“He continues to train with us so we are able to closely monitor his progress.

“Boston have treated him well and this has helped to build a positive relationship between us. We are grateful that they have allowed us to insert a 24-hour recall clause into the deal.”
