Mitre Group Latest To Link Up With Notts

4 August 2015

Notts County FC, the world’s oldest football league club, has announced Mitre as its official training partner...

The Mitre team will be responsible for devising and delivering all the staff training programmes within the club. The partnership will be launched with a tailored education programme for the club’s hospitality, retail and management teams – some 75 members of staff – who will have the opportunity to gain recognised qualifications in topics including Hospitality, Customer Service and Leadership & Management.

The goal of the partnership is to support the development of all the club’s staff, by providing opportunities to gain new skills and qualifications, while also benefitting customers’ experience at the club. As well as hosting football matches throughout the season, the Magpie’s award-winning hospitality team also plays host to a wide range of other events all year round, such as weddings, banquets, conferences and award ceremonies – all of which will benefit from an enhanced customer experience.

Richard Cokayne, Head of Commercial & Events  at Notts County FC, comments: “Mitre Group is renowned within the sport and stadia industry for providing high-calibre training and development and we’re delighted to be working with the team as our official training partner. Having worked with Mitre in the past, I know they will go the extra mile to understand our goals and devise engaging training programmes that deliver exactly what we want for our staff. With their support I know our club can continue to go from strength to strength, ensuring fans and visitors continue to enjoy the very best experience here at Meadow Lane.”

As the partnership develops, more staff will have the chance to take advantage of Mitre’s on-site training at Meadow Lane. By delivering training at the club’s ground, Mitre is able to better get to know individual members of staff and their working environment, as well as minimise disruption to the working day and bolster the relationship between the club and the team from Mitre, ensuring a true working partnership.
